Construction Coverage Basics  Did you know there are a minimum of 3 types of policies in force during a construction project protecting your interest.    1) The property is covered with a  "COC" policy, also know as Builder Risk Policy, protecting the property through construction. 2) The General Liability (GL) is "picked up" by using the General Contractors policy, listing you as an additional insured. 3) The "Grey Area" between YOU and the General Contractor is covered by an Owners Contractors Protection Liability Policy.  Other types of policies in play are Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation and Completition Bonds just to name a few.
