Did you Know  - Hired and Non Owned Auto Not just for your butler!!! Did you KnOW a  "Hired and Non-Owned Auto" may be one of your largest risk exposures as a property or business owner!! The Hired and Non-Owned coverage found in a Commercial General Liability policy will defend the insured or corporation for accidents you or your employees cause while driving on the job.    As an example, your property manager is driving to the bank to make a deposit and causes an accident with injury to another person. The injured party will look to the auto policy of the driver and the insurance of the company they are working for to settle all claims.  Many times the primary auto policy of your staff will exclude "business use" coverage.  If you do not have "Hired and Non-Owned Auto" coverage on your policy, your company will need to defend and pay all claims. The Hired and Non-Owned coverage is an add-on to your existing Commercial General Liability Policy.
